Promises About God's Outrageous Love

God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16

The Lord said, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness."  Jeremiah 31:3

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.  Deuteronomy 7:9

God demonstrates his own love for us in this:  While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

God's Outrageous Love

There is nothing average about the God we know, the Father we long to serve.  He's unconventional and exorbitant.  He's extravagant in his giving.  He's unrestrained in his love for us.  In fact, God is extraordinary in every way.  He's outrageous!  If you and I were to catch even a glimpse of who he is, our lives would never be the same.  And yet, he's shown us who he is.  His truth and glory are revealed in his Son, Jesus Christ.  And w see it every day in the universe he created, in the lives of others, and in our own experience.  We often miss it, but it's there.  We just forget to notice the joy he provides is outrageous because it is completely unencumbered by the circumstances we face.

Let's notice.  Let's pay careful attention.  Let's let our everyday lives be invaded and transformed by this loving, gracious, wonderful, perfectly outrageous God.

Promises About Your Uniqueness

God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.  Genesis 1:27

We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  Ephesians 2:10

God Made You - You!

     God made you an original; don't die a copy.   In Christ, you can be the best of what and who you want to BEE!

     According to aeronautical science, the bumblebee can't fly.  Its body is too heavy, and its wings are too shallow.  But the bumblebee doesn't know it can't fly.  So it flies around doing what God chose for it to do, pollinating plants.  It does so without considering its limitations.

     You, too, have talent, skill, aptitude, and ability that are you-niquely yours.  We can be the bestof what and who we want to BEE --and only God knows what our limitations are.

     You might appear to be different -- or even strange -- to some people.  But remember, God made you in his image ofr his glory.  Use your uniqueness to edify people and glorify God.  Capitalize on the abilities God has given you.  Don't expect other people to be like you or to always understand you.  They're busy being uniquely themselves.

Promises About God Always Listening

You will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say:  Here am I.  Isaiah 58:9

Jesus said, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.  Matthew 7:7-8

The Lord said, "You will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you."  Jeremiah 29:12

He's Always Listening

Nothing can keep you from being directly connected to God if you want to be.  It doesn't matter what time of day or night it is; who else is talking to him; or what the problem is.  When you need to make decisions and nobody on earth understands, call him up.  When your problems seem unbearable, call him up.  When you want to praise him and show appreciation for his wonderful work in your life, call him up.  God is always available.

Promises About Letting God

The mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.   Romans 8:6

The plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.  Psalm 33:11

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.  Proverbs 16:3
